The Life of a Freelance Writer: Setting the Record Straight About My Remote Work Life

(This isn’t Just a Hobby. I Get Paid)

According to Forbes, 35 percent of U.S. workers are freelancers.

I’m one of them.

Three years ago I started a successful business from scratch, and continue to climb the freelancing ladder.

I’m psyched I found a flexible position that allows me to see more of my children. But I’ve learned that there are a lot of misconceptions about my remote work lifestyle(good and bad) that I brush off and don’t clarify.

It’s time to set the record straight about this freelancer’s life.

This isn’t just a hobby. I get paid.

Okay, this may sound hilarious, but I’ve encountered several people who thought I was off my rocker for freelancing — because I must be paid total crap, or not paid at all.
